Learner Benefits
Convenience
Learners should be able to learn anywhere, any time, with the most minimal equipment, which means a web browser and a computer connected to the Internet. They should not be forced to use a particular PC operating system, and have a full suite of expensive proprietary software. This means ensuring that all material they need to access is available in a format they can easily read, such as HTML.
YAWC Online converts both Word and PowerPoint files into HTML, so learners can view all the material within a web browser. They don't have to download large files or Zip files, and don't need Microsoft Office or WinZip, or a fast Internet connection, so they can learn anywhere: at home, at college, at work, at an Internet café, whereever.
Accessibility
Accessibility is really about two distinct issues: including people with disabilities, and supporting all types of devices, not just standard web browsers on PCs.
YAWC Online generates valid, accessible HTML 4.0 markup, and it complies with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v1.0 Level 2. The web pages can be read on any device, and learners don't even need to use a Windows PC. The material is equally accessible on a Macintosh or Linux PC, and can even be read on a PDA, perhaps even PSP!

Interactivity
Learners need to be fully engaged in the learning process. One way to do this is continuously get them to actively test their knowledge and retention. YAWC Online makes it easy to create interactive forms in HTML, by using a table in Word as a template for a variety of question types (multiple choice, multiple-answer, etc), answers and feedback.
In addition, YAWC can generate multi-media interactions with sounds and images, using the Macromedia Director plug-in. These interactions are also created using simple Word tables.
