- YAWC Online can be configured to allow authors publish content directly to a website, or to implement a simple workflow process for reviewing content prior to publishing.
Where are documents stored?
- All store Word documents are stored on your own server. YAWC doesn't store the documents unless you specifically request it.
What type of documents can it convert
- YAWC online can convert documents created in Word and PowerPoint.
Does YAWC support mathematical equations?
- Yes, YAWC supports Mathematical equations. By default, they are converted into GIF images, but they can be configured to convert into MathML equations instead.
Can YAWC generated documents be designed to fit into stylesheets?
- Yes, you can customise YAWC to fit into defined web templates and stylesheets, the only pre-requisites are that the template must be well-formed XHTML.
Can off-site users use the service?
- Yes, with YAWC Online, once a user has an internet connection they can use the service.
What speed network is required to run the service?
- Dialup is sufficient, broadband is preferable
Is there limit to the number of documents I can convert?
- No
How do I make sure my documents are converted into the right format
- Prior to publishing you can preview the document
- YAWC also runs a number of checks of the loaded content to ensure it is right.
What is the average time for converting a document?
- Most documents will convert in under a minute. However, this is dependent on two factors, the size of the document, and the speed of the Internet connection.
How does YAWC deal with multi-page Word and Powerpoint documents?
- Yes, YAWC has multi-page functionality

Creating content
- Download a single Word template which allows you to create and maintain course materials
- Create and edit Microsoft Word files using the template to assist you
- Format the content with appropriate styles and include features such as: self-test assessments and multi-media interactions.

Converting content
- Use the built-in format checker to ensure the document will convert and display properly
- Send the content to YAWC Online from within Word, and a web preview is displayed
- Check the presentation, and also view the automatic conversion report for broken links and accessibility errors
Publishing
- Once you are happy with the content, click "Publish" to publish it directly to your website.
- Alternatively, download a SCORM-conformant Zip file to insert into your LMS.
Administration
- The YAWC Online service has an administration module that allows you manage user accounts and conversion preferences, control access rights, and view usage reports.
