Can you integrate with my CMS?

Yes, YAWC Online can be integrated with any CMS in a transparent way, so that users only have to interface with the CMS system itself.

Yes, YAWC produces SCORM conformant packages for uploading into Moodle. You can also call the YAWC conversion process directly from within Moodle.

With YAWC Online, no installation is required in your hosting facility or locally as it is a hosted managed server.

Existing HTML pages can be converted semi-automatically into Word format. The degree of automation is dependent on the quality of the HTML content. Please send us a sample of your HTML for assessment, or try our online HTML to Word converter to see how your pages convert now.
Existing Word documents can be bulk converted into HTML pages using YAWC. However, ideally they should first be format-checked to ensure that they convert into high-quality, accessible pages. We can do this for you if you wish.

In general we can integrate YAWC Online with any Intranet or Extranet, since it is available as a web service, and accepts standard HTTP requests. YAWC Online supports a RESTful API, but not SOAP.

YAWC Online currently runs on Windows and Linux, and YAWC server will also run on both of these platforms.

YAWC Online can be accessed from any PC which supports Microsoft Word, and have an Internet connection.
YAWC Pro runs on Windows NT, 2000 and higher.

Server

The YAWC Online server is maintained and updated by XML Workshop Ltd., so there is no need for you to update the system.
YAWC Word templates will be made available on the YAWC Online server, and can be downloaded and installed by authors at any time. Alternatively, central IT staff can update all staff members by installing the template in a group templates folder, or by distributing updates using Microsoft SMS.
YAWC Pro updates are periodically released on the YAWC Pro website, and can be downloaded free of charge to registered users.

With YAWC Online no software installation is required, but the associated Word template takes a minute to download and install.
YAWC Pro takes about 10 minutes download and install.
Customisations of both are dependent on customer requirements. For a basic website it typically takes half a day . to customise create an accessible HTML template that can be used by YAWC to create pages for direct publication.

YAWC Pro requires Windows PCs running Windows NT, 2000 or higher, and Word 97 or higher.

YAWC Online supports simple workflow features that enable editors to review content created by authors before publication. Each editor is assigned responsibility for a particular folder or folders on a website, and content destined for publication to those folders is converted, they are notified by email to review and approve it online.
